Rhonda "Shorty" Jean Mauldin

Rhonda Jean "Shorty" Mauldin, of Ringling, departed this life on July 8, 2022 at her residence North of Ringling at the age of 62 years, 4 months, and 24 days. Inurnment services at Dixie Cemetery will be announced at a later date. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.

Rhonda was born on February 14, 1960 in Waurika, Oklahoma to the late Mr. J.W. Mauldin and Mrs. Rudean (Tipps) Mauldin.

Rhonda grew up on the family farm North of Ringling with her siblings J.Len and Ruby. She attended Ringling Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1978. Rhonda also known as Shorty, later obtained her degree as a Registered Nurse and worked for many years as a ICU nurse. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding, and working with animals. After a injury left her unable to continue nursing she moved back to the family farm North of Ringling to be near her sister Ruby. Rhonda was of the Assembly of God faith.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Rudene Mauldin; brother J. Len Mauldin; and a niece, Mandy Musick.

She is survived by her sister, Ruby Gayle Musick of Norman; nephew and nieces, Laura "Laurie" Musick, Jay "Bubba" Mauldin, Morgan Martin, and Clarissa Mauldin.
