Velma- Funeral Services for Ray L Womack, 77, of Duncan, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Velma with Rev. Jason Williams officiating. Interment will follow to Foster Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Velma.

Ray was born October 4, 1944, at Countyline, OK to Mr. Bob Womack and Mrs. Stella (Townsend) Womack. He departed this life Friday, July 22, 2022, at his home in Duncan at the age of 77 years, 9 months, and 18 days.

Ray was born and raised in Countyline, attending Velma-Alma Schools. He joined the Army, where he served from 1964 to 1966. After being honorably discharged he went to work in the oilfield and many years later Ray retired from Marathon Oil. He was also an Honorary Well Fighter with CUDD Pressure Control. Ray loved to shoot pool and was an avid gardener. He also loved to collect coins and knives.

Preceding him in death are his parents; sister, Wanema Bullard; brothers, Terry Womack and Clyde “Rooster” Womack.

Survivors include his companion, Tessie Savage of the home; sons, Bobby Womack of Davis and Ronnie Womack and wife Heather of Duncan; daughter, Victoria Browning and husband Todd of Lawton; grandchildren, Bobby Womack of Velma, Mackayla Womack of Velma, Ashley Browning of Lawton, Chase Browning of Lawton, Maddie Womack of Duncan, Hazlie Womack of Duncan; great grandchildren, Paisley Womack of Velma and Jaxon Womack of Velma; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Womack, Casey Reimers, Mike Roberson, Spencer Savage, Rudy Smith and Rusty Savage.

Honorary Bearers are Hank Presgrove and Dale Reimers.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.
