Randall Wade Copeland

November 18, 1962 — October 20, 2019

Randall Wade Copeland was born November 18, 1962 to Oneal Copeland and Paula McMillen. He departed this life in San Francisco, California on October 20, 2019 with Eric (Joey) Yee and his beloved service dog, Janet, by his side.

Randy was the oldest of five children. He attended Chouteau High School. After high school Randy moved to Virginia for several years. Then he was off to Hawaii and eventually San Francisco where he met Joey Yee. Joey loved Randy and took care of him until his death.

Randy was a free and giving spirit that brought joy to those who knew him. It was this reason he worked very hard to get his CNA license to take care of AIDS patients as a live-in caretaker. Randy had a love for fine restaurants and margaritas. If people weren’t having a good time and have a smile on their face, they did when Randy showed up. He loved coming to Oklahoma to visit family and friends. It was towards the last couple of years that Joey was always by Randy’s side helping him with trips to Oklahoma. Christmas was special when he was home.

Randy is preceded in death by his mother, Paula Ann Howell; grandparents, Jack and Lottie Copeland; grandparents, Clifford “Bo” and Hazel McMillen.

Randy is survived by his father, Oneal Copeland; step-mother, Ginger Copeland; three sisters, Sherry Copeland, Goldie Leyva, Connie Casteel; one brother, Britton Copeland; his partner, Joey Yee; his beloved dog and partner-in-crime, Janet.

Memorial services will be on December 14, 2019, at 11 A.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home at 1302 7th Street, Wilson, Oklahoma 73463.
Randy’s ashes will be laid to rest at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson, Oklahoma.
