R B Bearden

Mr. R.B. Bearden, age 95, of Healdton, Oklahoma, passed away on March 10, 2025. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Rexroat Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Jamie Griffin. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton. Arrangements are under the direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

Born on January 18, 1930, in Brock, Oklahoma, R.B. was the son of the late Roscoe Bearden and Lulu (Clanahan) Bearden Hunziker. He was raised in the Wilson and Lone Grove areas, where he also received his education. R.B. honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

On January 20, 1956, R.B. married Betty Sue Cole in Gainesville, Texas, and together they cherished a loving family, welcoming two children, Kayla and Mark. He dedicated his career to the oilfield, retiring from CNG Production as a drilling foreman. R.B. enjoyed various pastimes, including fishing and camping at Lake Texoma, quail hunting, music, playing the guitar, golfing, and sharing captivating stories with family and friends. Above all, he treasured time spent with his loved ones, especially his children and grandchildren.

R.B. is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Cleo Barker and her husband, Bob; as well as his nephews, Jerry Barker and Bobby Dale Barker, and a niece, Anita Rhodes.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty; his children, Kayla Jones and husband Leonard, and Mark Bearden and wife Shelley; four grandchildren, Joshua Jones, Justin Jones, Chance Bearden and special friend Kelsey Smith, and Nic Bearden and wife Paige; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Hunziker and wife Linda; numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

The pallbearers will be Josh Jones, Justin Jones, Chance Bearden, Nic Bearden, Brian Hunziker, and Johnnie Hunziker.
