Mr. Glenn was born December 8, 1918 at Cornish, OK to the late Jefferson Barton and Bessie Mae Moon Glenn. He departed this life Monday morning July 21, 2008 at Healdton.

Mr. Glenn was raised in Cornish attending school at Claypool. He married the former Ms. Lucille Wallis and she soon preceded him in death on December 10, 1942. He later married the former Ms. Dorothy Louise Whatley March 30, 1946 at Henrietta, TX. They continued to live at Cornish where Mr. Glenn was self employed as a skilled Carpenter. He built many houses in this area as well as countless bird houses, porch swings and infant cradles as a hobby. Above all his greatest pleasure was being with his family and attending church services at the Gospel Tabernacle. He also found a passion for visiting the sick in their homes and hospitals. He had been a member of the Gospel Tabernacle for over 60 years.

In addition to his first wife, he was also preceded in death by his Parents, 2nd wife and whom was the mother of his children, Mrs. Dorothy (Whatley) Glenn, 3 brothers, Orville, Rufus and Paul B. Glenn, 1 Sister, Ruby Albin, and a granddaughter Lelannie Taylor.

Survivors include his 2 Daughters, Linda Tate of Durant, Sue Weatherford and husband Bob of Healdton, 4 Sons, Lafon Glenn and wife Karen of Healdton, Tommy Glenn of Ringling, Terry Glenn and wife Kelly of Oklahoma City, Tim Glenn and wife Becky of Healdton. Daughter-in-law Charlotte Glenn of Cornish, Sister, Bernice Keith of Leona, TX. 17 Grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Glenn’s Grandsons and Honorary bearers will be the Men of the Gospel Tabernacle Church of Jesus Christ.

Family Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday Evening at the funeral home in Ringling.
