Ardmore- Cremation Services for Mrs. Phyllis Carol (Manary) Adcock, 84, of Ardmore, are under the care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson. She departed this life on Wed. Feb. 2, 2022, at her residence in Ardmore.
Phyllis was born on Dec. 24, 1937, at Oklahoma City to the late Mr. Virgil Foster Manary and Mrs. Lola Dee (Young) Manary. In her final days, she was surrounded by an abundance of love from, her daughter Jennifer and granddaughters Tara, Macy and Lily.
Carol was the last of 10 children. Her passion in life was horses, even as a little girl, she loved them greatly. Carol worked as a horse trainer, on the tracks in the mid 70's along with her late husband, J.C. Adcock and again in the mid to late 90's. One of her last wishes was that she could take a ride once again in the mountains of Colorado, on her beloved brew.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; 5 sisters, 4 brothers and late husband, J.C. Adcock.
Carol leaves behind a son, Greg Porter of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Jennifer Ingram of Ardmore; stepson, Jim Adcock of Lake Valecito, CO; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
