Peggy Sue (Tipps) Harbour, of Ringling, departed this life and gained her angel wings on January 18, 2021 at her residence West of Ringling at the age of 75 years, 9 months, and 22 days. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Harbour Family Cemetery near Ringling with Joe Wilkerson officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
Peggy was born to the late Mr. Willard D. Tipps and Mrs. Maxine L. (Ware) Tipps on March 27, 1945 in Oakdale, LA.
She moved back to Oklahoma where her mother ran the cafe at Lake Murray. Sue loved her days at the lake. They eventually moved to Ringling, where she met the love of her life. Sue and Mr. Ronnie Dale Harbour were united in marriage on March 24, 1961 in Henrietta, TX. Together they made their home West of Ringling where they would raise their three children and start their family ranch. They were blessed with 57 years of marriage before his passing. She enjoyed working along side Ronnie on the ranch feeding cattle and doing anything that needed to be done. Sue was a excellent homemaker and loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She was the best cook and when she would have all seven grandchildren at her house on the weekends she would pack a huge picnic basket and take them all on a picnic. No one ever left her home with an empty stomach. Sue would play along side of the grandkids and always made sure each one of them felt special and loved, Every night she would come tuck their feet in under the covers. Sue was avid Christian lady being baptized in the Church of Christ. She hosted many get togethers with the church and the youth. Sue was a long time member of the Church of Christ in Ringling and was very involved in the church. It was always important to her that her kids and family knew the lord.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronnie Dale Harbour on April 9, 2018; son, Ricky Dale Harbour on June 4, 1992;sister and brother in law, Gayle and Jerry Gore; nephew in law, Steve Lacefield; sister in law, Linda Tipps; aunt, Irene Tipps; uncles, Tom and Harold Tipps and aunt, Billie Tipps; cousin in law, Lou Ann Tipps.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories daughter, Rhonda Norman of the home; grandchildren, Tara Longest and her husband Heath of Ringling, Dakota Norman and his wife Courtney of Ardmore, Josie Harbour and his wife Ashley of Ringling; Whitney Harbour of Ringling; great grandchildren, Ma'Cray Lynn, Brooke McClure, Cassidy Sue Ann Kinsey, Connor and Rylie Jo Longest, Rylee and Gage Norman, Lexi, Addie and Dani Harbour, and one the way that she was very excited about; bonus son, Matthew Tinsley of Norman; brother, Bill Tipps of Ringling; cousins, Ronnie and Mike Tipps of Ardmore; Johnny Wayne Tipps of Yukon, Ruthie Spalding of Tacoma, WA, Bill and Nita Ware of San Angelo, TX, Larry Digby of Odessa, TX; nieces, Tanya Lacefield of Runaway Bay, TX, Stacy Shores of Wilson, Kristy Tipps of Ringling; nephew, Jerry Gore of Sequin, TX; Desiree Buck of Wilson; grandaughters, Logan Reid of Madill, Rikki Reid of Austin, TX; grandson, Rhett Jeffery of Wilson and many other relatives and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mc'Cray Lynn, Heath Longest, Matthew Tinsley, Colby VanBuskirk, Dakota Norman, and Josie Harbour.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lyndol VanBuskirk, Bob Earl Stewart, Ronnie Tipps, Bill Tipps, Mike Tipps, Mark Eck and Johnny Wayne Tipps.
The funeral home will be open Friday from 10:30 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. for viewing.
