Peggy Louise (Riddle) Wylie, of Ratliff City, departed this life on November 25, 2020 in Norman, OK at the age of 83 years, 3 months, and 13 days. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 30, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Ratliff City with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
Peggy was born to the late Mr. Clarence Milburn "Shorty" Riddle and Elsie G. (Dodson) Riddle on August 12, 1937 in Wirt, OK. She resided in this area her entire life.
Peggy attended school in Healdton. She married the love of her life Mr. Henry Wylie on June 28, 1952 at Gainesville, TX. Together they made their home in Ratliff City where they would raise their two children. Peggy was very active in the Ratliff City Baptist Church holding various positions throughout the years. She was proud of her community and was a vital part of getting the Senior Citizens Building and lunch program started and continued to help with it until recently. Peggy loved watching sports and attending games. She was a excellent homemaker, and wonderful grandma. Her and the grandkids would load up the RV and go to the lake for weeks at a time during the summer. She would do anything and everything the grandkids wanted and always had fun. Peggy enjoyed sewing, working jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Peggy was a proud member of "The Rowdy Girls" and loved getting together with her girlfriends to play cards and other games. She worked with the election board and ran the voting poles for many years in Ratliff City. She will be missed by her family and the community she loved being a part of for many years.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Wylie; sisters, Melva Riddle, Betty Stevens, and Joyce Fletcher.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Sue Rogers and Randy of Norman; son, Randy Wylie and wife Cathy of Kingston; grandchildren, Paxton Wylie, Nathan Wylie, Michaella Wylie, Evan Dutton, Guthrie Blachly, and Tenessa Heath; special friends, "The Rowdy Girls" and Sylvia Dewbre; Many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Rick Pender, Brent Perkins, Kent Perkins, Cooter Pender, Russ Butler, and Ladon Fletcher.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Sylvia Dewbre, and "The Rowdy Girls".
Family visitation will be from 4 - 6:00 P.M. Sunday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
