Wilson- Funeral Services for Mrs. Peggy Joyce Williams, 67, of Wilson is scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday November 25, 2008 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Crow Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.


Peggy was born April 28, 1941 at Oscar to the late Mr. Rose Berry and Mrs.Fannie Lee (Strickland) Romines. She passed away Saturday evening, November 22, 2008 at Ardmore after a courageous battle with a lengthy disease.


Peggy was raised at Courtney Flatts attending school there. She married Mr. Cecil Wayne Williams December 6, 1957 at Ardmore. She was employed at the Pants Factory in Marietta for several years, before becoming a Teacher’s Aide at Ringling Public Schools. She retired from there in 2002 after being a Teacher’s Aide for 31 years. She was always well acquainted with students and faculty and very much enjoyed the years working with Superintendent Coach Rick Gandy. She always loved to read to her kids and grandkids and also enjoyed crossword puzzles, quilting and embroidery. She was a member of the Brushy Mound Baptist Church.


Preceding her in death is her Parents, brother, Jr. Romines, and 2 Sisters, Betty Wolf and Mattie Dewbre.


Survivors include her beloved husband Cecil of the home, Daughter, Karen Inselman and husband Billy of Wilson, Son, Terry Wayne Williams and wife Mary of Blanchard, Sister, Bertha Morgan and husband Jerry of Cheek, 2 Brothers, Leroy Romines and R.B. Romines and his wife Sharon, both of Rubottom. 1 Sister in law, Doris Barber of New Castle. 7 Grandchildren, Candice Jackson and husband Brent, Willy Inselman and wife Natasha, Derek Williams, Kylie Williams, Tyler Inselman, Andrew Barnett and Tanner Williams. 2 Great Grandchildren, Will Inselman and Alyssa Cooper. Numerous other family and friends.


Pallbearers will be Don Reed, Danny Flatt, W.A. Aulds, Harold Allen, Jamie Don Scott, and Bob Earl Stewart.


Honorary Bearers are Chris Bural, Sherle Lockwood, Barry Benson, Bill Renfro, and all the faculty and staff of the Ringling Public Schools.


All viewing will be at Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling with family visitation from 6-8pm Monday at Ringling.
