Peggy Jean Tipton Holman

Ringling – Memorial Services for Mrs. Peggy Jean (Hooser) Tipton Holman, 78, of Marietta are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Rev. Alex Costea and Rev. Ron Elmore officiating. A reception following the funeral service will be held at the Ringling Community Center hosted by the ladies of the Ringling United Methodist Church.Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Crematory of Ringling.

Peggy was born July 28, 1935 at Ringling, OK to the late Mr. Erman Hooser and Mrs. Una L. (Roach) Hooser. She departed this life 2 days after her 78th birthday on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the hospital in Marietta.

Peggy was raised in Ringling attending school there. She married Mr. Jack Tipton in 1953 and to this union came two daughters, Marilyn and Carolyn. Peggy was a hairdresser for 49 years. She later married Mr. Jim Holman on June 2, 2001. She enjoyed garage selling, bingo and dancing. Peggy was a kind, compassionate loving woman. She always had a kind encouraging word for everyone and always brought a smile to everyone she encountered.

She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Mr. Jack Tipton, the father of her Children; Infant Daughter, Scotta Kay; great granddaughter Jurnei Berry; and best friend and cousin Mary Nell Connor.

Survivors include her husband Mr. Jim Holman of the home in Marietta; Daughters, Marilyn Lester and husband Mike of Courtney Flatts and Carolyn Tipton of Ringling; Grandchildren, Candace Berry and husband Joe of Zaneis, Branon Lester and wife Summer of Ringling, Becky Thompson and husband Wayne of Healdton and Jackie Blackwell of Paradise, CA; 12 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandson; Numerous other family and friends.

Honorary Bearers are Mike Lester, Branon Lester, Joe Berry, Cruise Berry, Jacobi Berry, Jordan Berry, Taylor Cunningham, Emmitt Morris, Ron Elmore, Don Jr. Connor, J.J. Tipton and Colt Lester.
