Peggy Ann Ellis

Ardmore - Funeral Services for Mrs. Peggy Ann (Furrh) Ellis are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Rubottom Baptist Church in Rubottom, OK with Rev. Ryan Eakins officiating. Interment will follow at Rubottom Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.


Peggy was born June 25, 1946 in Rubottom to Mr. Raymond Wilson Furrh and Mrs Hazel Marie (Day) Furrh. She departed this life Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Love County, Oklahoma at the age of 71.


Peggy was raised in the Rubottom area and graduated with the class of 64 from Leon High School with 12 years perfect attendance. She then married Robert Parker the father of her two oldest children Angie and Rodney and they lived in the Wilson area. Peggy then moved to Grand Prairie, TX and married the father of her third child, Karol Ray. Peggy later met and married Jerry Ellis. They were married for over 30 years until his death in 2009. Peggy had lived in the Ardmore area for the past 10 years. Peggy was a beautician, she had worked for Sally Beauty Supply as a manager and at Winstar when it was a bingo hall. Peggy had most recently worked in security at Falconhead Country Club. In her earlier years Peggy enjoyed bowling and was a member of a bowling league, playing bingo, and going fishing.


Preceding her in death is her father, Raymond Wilson Furrh, husband, Jerry Ellis; brother, Richard Furrh and a granddaughter, Rotasha Parker.


Survivors include her mother, Hazel Furrh Hyman of Rubottom; sons, Rodney Parker and Nina of Ardmore, Karol Ray Walls of Ardmore; daughter, Angela Parker and Kenny of Wilson; brothers, Teddy Ray Furrh and LeAnn of Rubottom, and Pat Furrh of Rubottom; grandchildren, Amanda Harger and husband Casey, Randall Click, Rachelle Parker, and Dylan Smith; great-grandchildren, Talin, Sarinety, Derek, and Bristol; and a special companion, Tuffy her shih tzu. Numerous nieces, nephews, othe family and a host of friends.


Pallbearers are Joshua Meyers, Eric Meyers, Robert Freeman, J.R. Freeman, Dylan Smith, and B.B. Sanchez.


Honorary Bearers will be Leda Furrh, Linda Pruiett, LaQuitta Furrh, Everette Furrh, Paul Alexander, and Larry Ellis.
