Funeral Services for Mrs. Pearlene Maude (Sears) Wilson, 92 of this area, are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. Terry Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson.
Pearlene was born August 1, 1924 to the late Mr. Samuel Houston Sears and Mrs. Ruthie Lillian (Graham) Sears at Magnolia Camp, OK, near Healdton. She departed from this life on August 7, 2016 at the Burford Nursing Home in Davis, OK.
Pearlene was raised west of Healdton, residing at Wirt and Dundee. She married Mr. Walter Lee Wilson on October 5, 1940 at Ringling. Soon after their son Jerry was born, Walter was drafted into the U.S. Army during WWII. During that time Pearlene stayed with her mom and dad in New Mexico. After the War, Walter and Pearlene were blessed with two other children, Sandra and Shirley. Shirley tragically preceded them in death in 1964. Pearlene worked some for Bo Ward in the grocery store. She began working for the postal service as the substitute service for 19 years and then as postmaster at Thackerville, Hinton and Mannsville retiring in 1985. Since then, she enjoyed her grandkids and great grandkids. Pearlene was a member of the Rexroat Baptist Church.
Also preceding her in death is her husband Walter Lee Wilson in 1978; parents, Samuel and Ruthie; brothers, Robert C. Sears and B. Frank Sears; sister, Nora L. (Sears) Worsham; grandson, Robert A. McDaniel; great granddaughter, Avery Fears and nephew, Jimmy L. Worsham.
Pearlene is survived by her son, Jerry Lee Wilson of Ardmore; daughter, Sandra L. Webb and husband Tom of Davis; special nieces, Loy Pruitt of Lone Grove and JoAnn Caudill of Chickasha; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Casket bearers are Larry Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Zachary McDaniel, Cody McDaniel, Marcus McDaniel, and Brian McDaniel.
A family visitation is scheduled for Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM at the Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
