Paul Dean Chandler

Velma - Funeral Services for Mr. Paul Dean Chandler, 85 of Countyline are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Monday, September 14, 2020 at the Velma Church of Christ with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating, Interment will follow to New Velma Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.

Paul was born October 20, 1934 in Miami, OK to the late Mr. Earl Chandler and Mrs. Myrtle (Cansada) Chandler. He departed from this life on Thursday, September 10, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Paul attended school at Velma and soon after enlisted in the United States Navy. After a medical discharge, Paul returned home and worked in the oilfield. He married the former Ms. Betty Wright on November 8, 1958 in Garvin County. They made their home in Countyline. Paul's pride and joy was his children and grandchildren; taking them all on vacation, as well as teaching them all how to drive.

Preceded him in death are his parents; brothers, J.T. , Kenneth, Edward and James Chandler; and sisters, Lou Daughtery and Noami Tate.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Betty of the home; son, Darin Ray Chandler and wife Kami of Duncan; daughter, Sandra Lorayn Chandler of the home; grandchildren, Kaylee Nichole. Darin Kyle, Dakota Ray, Raven Skye and Ethan Ellis; great grandchildren, Bryson Kade Phipps, Ayden Kreede Chandler, Ty Chandler, and Kinsley Chandler; brother, Earl Chandler and wife Louise of Duncan; sisters, Neva Bowles and husband Billy of Pauls Valley and Eva Griffith of Moore; and by a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Chandler, Dakota Chandler, Ethan Ellis, Bryson Phipps, Rodney Wright, Randy Wright and Kevin Wright. Honorary bearers will be Kaylee, Raven, Ayden, Kinsley and Ty.
