Patsy Sue Bartlett

Ringling- Celebration of Life services for Patsy Sue (Wigham) Bartlett, 76, of Ringling are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Bryan Spivey officiating.

Pat was born June 30, 1938 at Ringling to the late Mr. Elmer “Bill” Wigham and Mrs. Florence (Choate) Wigham. She passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at her home in Ringling.

Pat was preceded in death by her only son, Guy Van Bartlett in 2001; Brother, Joe Wigham; Parents, Bill and Florence Wigham; and her foster parents, Norm and Mae Skinner.

Pat grew up in Ringling and graduated high school in 1956. She was an avid basketball player in Jr. and Sr. High School and was also in the band. After graduation she went to work for Arthur Ellis in the income tax business. In 1970 she took over his business after he retired and had “Pats Tax Service “for many years.

Pat coached a young girl’s softball team for 10 years. The girls were 8 years old at the time she began coaching them and they graduated at 18. Many of those girls still reside in Ringling. Pat talked of this team many times and treasured many trophies in the home.

She worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for Skeet Smith Trucking for 15 years. She had many happy memories and beloved friends from there. For the last 20 years she has ran “Pat’s Liquor Store” in Ringling since 1994.

She leaves behind her daughter in law, Julie Bartlett Price and husband Bruce and 2 beloved grandchildren Natasha Bartlett Inselman and husband Willy and Skylar Bartlett; Great Grandchildren, Will Inselman, Austin Van Inselman and Hope Inselman; Pat always said that these were the ones that helped her through the loss of her son Van; Also surviving is a Sister in law- Clair Wigham, and an Uncle Leonard Hill; and a host of 1st and 2nd cousins and lifelong friends.

Honorary Bearers are Skylar Bartlett, Gator Branch, Ricky Branch, Kenneth King, Brent Smith, Willy Inselman, Mike Stewart, Randy Raines and Jim T. Stewart.
