Patsy Sheryl Carter

Ravia – Memorial Services for Mrs. Patsy (Thomason) Carter, 65, formerly of Pruitt City is scheduled for 12:00 PM Monday, January 16, 2012 at Ravia Cemetery with Rev. Mel Taylor officiating. Services were announced by Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory of Wilson.

Patsy was born December 14, 1946 at Denison, TX to the late Mr. Willie Thomason and Mrs. Goldie Arlena (Evans) Thomason. She departed this life Thursday January 12, 2012 at Sulphur.

Patsy was raised in Texas and Southern Oklahoma around the Lake Texoma area. She married Mr. Jimmy Ray Carter February 5, 1982 at Gainesville, TX. They lived the majority of their life together in Pruitt City. She worked most of her years as a waitress and beautician and was also a nurse’s aide. Patsy was always Pentecostal by faith and was most recently attending the First Baptist Church of Sulphur.

Preceding her in Death is her Parents, Husband Jimmy and Son Dean, Stepfather, Shelby Hitchcock; 2 Brothers, Louis and Melvin and One Sister, Leola.

Survivors include her Sons, Wade Edwards and wife Beverly of Holdenville, Mark Edwards and wife Debbie of Sulphur; Daughter, Dana Cummins and husband Jesse of Sulphur and Crystal Miller of Oklahoma City; Brother Cecil Thomason of Dixon, CA. 14 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Numerous other family and friends.

Honorary Bearers are Freddy Drawbaugh, LeRoy Drawbaugh, Thomas Glenn Carter, Jerry Morton, Montana Neal, and Brian Dale Marshall.
