Patsy Ruth Cox

Ardmore - Funeral Services for Mrs. Patsy Ruth (Rigsby) Cox, 80, of Ardmore are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Crystal Rock Cathedral of Ardmore with Dr. Walt Spradling officiating. Interment will follow at the Oswalt Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Patsy was born on October 8, 1935 at Durant, OK to the late Mr. William Hughes and Mrs. Margaret (Collins) Rigsby. She went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday evening of August 20, 2016 at her home in Ardmore.

Patsy was raised at Durant marrying Mr. Bobby Gene Cox on April 3, 1953 there. They soon moved to San Antonio where Bob was stationed in the Air Force and there afterwards resided all over the Southern United States evangelizing to communities.

Patsy was an excellent ministers wife, very supportive and always taking care of the household needs. She loved to cook, always having the fitting meal for large or small family gatherings. Patsy also served as the administrative secretary at Mannsville Schools for 15 years. She loved all of her family and children and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Patsy was a devout member of the Crystal Rock Cathedral of Ardmore.

Preceding her in death are her Parents; sisters, Louise and Stella; grandson, Cody Wade; grandson in law, Joey Mack Bailey; and countless other brothers in law and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.


Survivors include her husband, Rev. Bobby G. Cox of the home; daughter, Pamela Black and husband Philip of Ardmore; son, Bobby D. Cox and wife Theresa of Ardmore; 4 grandchildren, Philecia Williams and husband Robert, Brandon Black and wife Tammy, Ashley Willis and husband Jared and Benjamin Cox; 11 great grandchildren, Cameron Williams, Kaytlin Williams, Mikayla Williams, Alexis Black, Blake Black, Brody Black, Addison Bailey, Colton Bailey, Olivia Cox, Ridge Willis and Lane Phelps; 3 brothers, Cliff Lambeth and wife Betty of Dallas, Bill Rigsby of New Braunfels, TX and Paul Rigsby and wife Kathy of San Antonio, TX; sister, Ann Owens and husband Bill of Owasso; numerous other nieces, nephews, family and church family.


Casket Bearers will be Terry Cox, Gary Keeton, Gale Cox, Sam Buck, Don Cox, Charles McMillan, Dustin Cox, Johnny Tynes and Shawn Bruton


Honorary Bearers are her 3 brothers, Cliff Lambeth, Bill Rigsby and Paul Rigsby; her brothers in law, Jim Cox and Bill Owens; her grandsons, Brandon Black, Benjamin Cox, Robert Williams, Jared Willis and the late Cody Wade; and her great grandsons, Cameron Williams, Blake Black, Brody Black, Colton Bailey, Ridge Willis and Lane Phelps.
