Patricia Kay Norton

Velma – Funeral Services for Mrs. Patricia Kay (Woodard) Norton, 56, of Velma is scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Velma First Baptist Church with Rev. Cody Deevers officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory of Ratliff City.

Patricia was born July 11, 1955 at Dallas, TX to the late Mr. B.E. “Woody” Woodard and Mrs. Ruth Ann (Herren) Woodard. She departed this life Saturday October 15, 2011 at Altus, OK.

Patricia was raised in Duncan attending school there and graduating high school in 1973. She attended college at the University of Oklahoma and later married Mr. Jonathan Bryan Norton June 18, 1992 at the Countyline Baptist Church. They resided in the Duncan and Velma area and Patricia was employed by the Speedy G’s Convenience store in Velma. She enjoyed playing golf and loved to cook. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Preceding her in death is her Father, Woody Woodard and Mother in law Barbara Norton.

Survivors include her husband Jon of the home in Velma; Mother, Ruth Ann Woodard of Duncan; Daughter, Adrienne Ray Nguyen and husband Dr. Viet Nguyen of Dayton, Ohio; Son, PFC Wade Morgan of the United States Army currently stationed in Afghanistan; 2 Brothers Larry Woodard and wife Jan of Duncan and Art Lucas and wife Glenda of Edmond; 3 Grandchildren, Nevaeh, Wyatt and Sydney. Numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Randy Norton, Keith Norton, Zachary Waldroup, Kenneth Norton, Michael Norton and Russell McKee.

Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday evening October 19, 2011 at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
