Pat Wayne Powell

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Pat Wayne Powell, 61, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, Dec. 20, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Jason Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar Point Cemetery in Wilson.

Pat was born Nov. 24, 1960 at Ringling to the late Mr. Carl Helton Powell and Mrs. Shelby Jean (Persilver) Powell. He departed this life on Tuesday evening Dec. 14, 2021 at his residence in Wilson.

Pat was raised at Wilson and Lone Grove area beginning work in the oil field as a young man. He worked in the oil field all of his working years. The last 20 years, Pat has worked for himself mostly recycling junk iron and doing roustabout work. Pat married the former Ms. Michelle Tupin on Jan. 3, 1992 at Wilson. They remained in this area and every Friday night was their "date night". Pat always loved to work and visit with his friends every morning at the coffee shop.

Preceding him in death are his parents; infant daughter and a brother Lee Powell.

Survivors include his wife Michelle of the home; sons, Roger Powell and wife Britney, Dillon Powell, both of Wilson and Patrick Powell and fiancee' Kara Hurst of Marietta; sister, Lena Edwards and husband John of Healdton; brother, Mike Powell also of Healdton; 3 grandchildren, Hayden, Allysin and Kynnedi; mother in law, Donna Tupin of Healdton; numerous other family and a multitude of friends.

Casket bearers are Dillon Powell, J.D. Punneo, Carl Robert Powell, Mark Shores, Jason Williams, Roger Powell and Patrick Powell.

Honorary bearers are his friends.

Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home of Wilson.
