Pamela Louise Weaver~Gandy graced this world with her presence on August 25, 1959, in Ardmore, to parents Marquieta and Leonard Evans. She departed this world after fighting an arduous battle with cancer and arrived at the exquisite gates of heaven on March 12, 2022.

Pam was brought into this world having an older sister, Tanya, that was eager to meet her new best friend for life! Soon after Pam was born, 3 more siblings followed, Len, Angie, & Lisa. Her childhood began in Oklahoma and the five of them grew up being a bit ornery (some more than others - Len, Lisa); however, they quickly formed a special bond that only siblings can have and were lucky enough to continue that remarkable friendship throughout their lifetime together. Going to rock concerts, fishing, and just enjoying the company of family meant the world to her. Family was the most important thing to Pam.

Pam’s passion for life and people began at an early age. Her compassion, encouragement, and kindness to reach out to others was what made her such an exceptional person. She was always drawn to those she felt needed her love, affection and prayers.

Due to her father’s profession they moved to Australia to experience life “down under” for a year and a half before moving back to Ringling, Oklahoma to complete her teenage and young adult years. She met her first husband and had two handsome sons, Jeremy & Josh. Being a mother was even more amazing than she ever thought it could be! She loved her boys more than anything in the world and quickly became known as the “coolest mom” around!

The love of her life, Mike, came into the picture in the early 90’s. They never missed the meaning of happiness and the fun of life! Going out dancing, hunting, fishing, and hanging out with family and friends was just the beginning of this sweet relationship of over 30 years. They could always have fun no matter where they were or what circumstances were put in their path.

Pam was one of the hardest working people around; working multiple jobs at one time because she loved the interaction with others! Her favorite job began at the Ringling schools as a “lunchroom lady”, which she was so proud to be called! She never saw a kid that didn’t bring a smile to her face. And Pam’s sparkling blue eyes, bright smile and infectious laugh always made everyone she came across smile back. She was quickly known as “Aunt Pam” to every kid she encountered, and she loved them all so dearly.

Pam spent many years of her life dealing with the horrible disease of cancer, but she never complained, or whined, during that entire time! She was always very thankful and appreciative for the nurses and doctors that she came to know and love over those difficult years. She was an encouragement to many others that cancer had struck and made sure that everyone understood that cancer never defined the person she was! She was a true WARRIOR and a woman of strong faith.

Pam was a beautiful soul that we were so blessed to have gotten the chance to be around. She made an impact on this world by showing her compassion for others and shining her light as a wonderful wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt, friend and extraordinary person all around. She will be greatly missed by all, but we know she is up there looking down on us all now and guiding us until we meet again.

Pam's father, Mr. Leonard Evans, Sr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include her loving husband Mike of the home; sons, Jeremy Weaver and Josh Weaver; stepdaughters, Ashley Ross and husband Stan and Kylie Gandy and fiancé Rob; grandson, Hunter Tupin; mother, Marquieta Evans; sisters, Tanya Zebroski, Angie Roberts and husband Joe Mac and Lisa Spagnolia and husband Robert; brother, Len Evans, Jr.; multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, whom she loved like her own, numerous other family and friends.

Casket bearers will be Richie Gandy, Tracy Gandy, Jared Gandy, L.D. Stevens, Ronnie Webb, Braxton Evans and Mike Gandy.

Honorary bearers are LaRhonda Fleming Jones, Mary Blackwell, Susie Denison and Randy Branch.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ringling.
