Graveside services for Mr. Otis Albert Harris Jr., 79, of Pruitt City are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling with the Rev. Carl Taylor officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City.



Otis was born June 7, 1929, to the late Mr. Otis Albert Sr. and Mrs. Marvalene Olivia Tannahil Harris at Graham,. He departed this life Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at Ardmore.



Otis was raised in Graham, attending school there. He married the former Beatrice Ruby Strawn March 11, 1952, at Ardmore. They lived at Fox for five years and then at Graham for seven years before settling in Pruitt City in 1965. Otis was employed with Triple Dee Drilling Co. for 31 years retiring from there in 1989 as the Production Foreman. In his retirement, Otis found pleasure in working in the Family Pecan Bottom in Graham. He was always a very patient man that could work on anything, having a very mechanical mind. He was a Man of Faith that read his bible regularly.



Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Billy Gene Harris and James Frank Harris; and two sisters, Joyce Hassell and Mary Jo Bush.



Survivors include his wife, Beatrice, of the home; two sons, Otis Ray Harris of Graham, and Merlin Harris and wife, Anita, also of Graham; grandchildren, Kevin Harris, Stephanie Garmon, Patrick Harris, Racheal Harris and Tyler Wood; great-grandchildren, Lucian Keller, Svaya Keller and Lain Garmon; and numerous relatives and friends.



Pallbearers will be Eddy Ruth, Mitchell Pickelsimer, Joe Kirkpatrick, Lynn Bolles, Marty Jones and Tom May.



Honorary bearers will be sons, Otis Ray Harris and Merlin Harris.



Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home in Ratliff City.



Donations may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice at 207 C St. NW Ardmore, OK 73401.
