Norman Franklin Griffin

Ardmore - Funeral Services for Mr. Norman Franklin Griffin, 63, of Ardmore, is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday January 17, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Bruce Almy and Chaplain Stanley Joseph officiating. Interment will follow at Woodford Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Norman was born April 27, 1947 at Ardmore to Mr. Earl Ernest Griffin and Mrs. Paula Jo (Abreu) Griffin. He departed this life Thursday, January 13, 2011 at his home in Ardmore.

Norman was raised primarily in Springer and attended school there graduating high school in 1965. He started working at Harvey Funeral Home in Ardmore at the age of fifteen and upon graduating high school he attended mortuary school at the Dallas Institute ~ Gupton Jones. He graduated from there with his Associate Degree of Mortuary Science and soon became an Oklahoma Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He continued employment at Harvey Funeral Home in Ardmore working as a Funeral Director and Embalmer there for 10 years. He left the funeral business and became a truck driver and soon met his companion Ms. Toni Isaacs. They made their home in Ardmore raising their two beautiful girls together.

Norman is preceded in death by his Father, Earl in 1996.

He is survived by his spouse, Toni Isaacs of the home, 3 Daughters, Tami Griffin-LaGrone and husband Clay of Dallas, CayCee Griffin and Macy Griffin of the home. Mother, Paula Griffin of Ardmore, Sister, Jodie Phipps and husband Mike of Ardmore. Brother, Ray Griffin and wife Deanna of Aubrey, TX. 2 Granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews and other family.

Pallbearers will be David Smith, Bobby Welch, Ted Gilbert, Monte Isaacs, Marlin Isaacs and Ray Griffin.

Honorary Bearers will be Paul Sampley, Bob Willis, Kelly Kyle, and Gray Idleman.

Family visitation will be 4 to6 pm Sunday at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
