Mr. Norman Dee Tate, of Healdton, departed this life on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at his residence North of Healdton at the age of 77 years. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Healdton with Bro. Carl Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Ringling Memorial Cemetery of Ringling.
Norman was born on November 7, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Mr. Norman Durwood Tate and Alta Faye (Hill) Tate.
Norman was raised in Cyril and Cement Oklahoma. He graduated from Cyril High School with the Class of 1964. Norman and the former Ms. Tina Arleen Dunman were united in marriage at Midway Freewill Baptist Church north of Healdton. Together they made their home in Oklahoma City moving to Bethany then Yukon where they would raise their children. Later, they moved to Edmond before retiring north of Healdton. He was an entrepreneur that owned and operated his own businesses in the Oil and Gas Industries. He also worked as a Private Investigator. Norman loved playing cards, visiting the casinos, watching westerns, and a good cigar. Norman enjoyed his cattle and spoiling his dogs. He was of the Christian Faith and is a member of Faith Tabernacle of Oklahoma City, OK.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Norman Durwood Tate and Alta Faye (Hill) Tollett and uncle, David Tate.
Norman is survived by his wife, Tina (Dunman) Tate of the home; daughter, Nela Edwards and husband, Jimmy of Tecumseh; sons, Sean Tate and wife Patricia of Phoenix, AZ, Craig Tate of the home, Charles Tate and wife Melody of Yukon; sister, Ruth Griffith of Tulsa; uncle Charles Hill of Broken Bow; nephew, Justin Griffith of Tulsa; 8 grandchildren, Brock, Sarah, and Drew Cowan, Trinity and Reese Tate, Seth Tate, Kylee and Lilly Edwards; great grandchild, Heath Cowen; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Serving as Casket Bearers will be Sean Tate, Craig Tate, Charles Tate, Jimmy Edwards, Dalton Wise, Forrest Goodwin, Wayne Dunman and Seth Tate.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Charles Hill, Jacob Fore, David Fletcher, Bill Moulton, and Curtis Hay.
Visitation will be held 6-8:00 P.M. Wednesday – November 2, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.
