Fox - Celebration of Life services for Mr. Norbert "Norb" Joseph Stopera, Jr., 61, of Fox are planned for 2:00 PM Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Milo Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Cox and Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
Norb was born on August 5, 1960 at Pittsburgh, PA to the late Mr. Norbert Joseph Stopera, Sr. and Mrs. Loretta (Nasierowski) Stopera. He departed this life on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at a healthcare facility in Tulsa.
Norb went to school and graduated at Shaler High School. At a young grade school age, Norb could be found in his father’s home garage learning about cars. Norb had a passion for cars and automobiles and was known as an autobody expert. His father Red was in a Polkaband and that began Norb’s love and talent for music. He tried out the drums and bass guitar before landing on his true love, lead guitar. Norb went on to have a successful tour of playing lead guitar in bands such as Jaguar, UO6, High Risk, and many others. Even opening for big acts that are known and loved today. Aside from the autobody businesses, Norb was also a professional farrier that worked with many veterinarians and animal athletes.
Norb was a once in a lifetime person who genuinely cared about others and impacted many lives. A loving son, brother, uncle, father, spouse and friend, he was proud of his family and loved them dearly. Especially his pride and joy, his daughter Jill.
Norb is preceded in death by his parents Norbert and Loretta Stopera, sister Cynthia Kreuer, and father-in-law Larry Carpenter.
He is survived by his daughter Jill of the home; spouse Brandy and her daughters Shelby and Shyla Daniel; nephews, Brandon Kreuer of PA, Blake Kreuer of OH, and Trey Theobald of TX; nieces Shannon Kreuer of OH and Mahalia of Copeland TX; sister-in-law Angela & husband Michael Theobald of TX; mother-in-law Teresa Carpenter of OK; and Father & Mother-in-law Eddie and Sandy Tedder of OK; many numerous family and friends that call him dad, brother, and friend.
The Jaguar band family held a special place in his heart and he expects you to rock on.
