Fox – Funeral Services for Mrs. Nina Kaye (Thompson) Dunn, 63, of Fox is scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday April 9, 2013 at the Fox Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Keck and Rev. Carl Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery at Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
Nina was born May 27, 1949 at Lindsay, OK to the late Mr. Elder L. Thompson Sr. and Mrs. Katie Belle (Robbins) Thompson. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday April 5, 2013 at Denton, TX.
Nina was a resident of Wilson until she was 10 years old when she and her family relocated to Fox. She graduated from Fox High School in 1967 and soon married Mr. Dan Alvin Dunn on August 24, 1967 at Fox. Nina and Dan attended college together at North Texas State University of Denton. They later moved to Fort Worth, TX where Dan attended Seminary school at Southwestern Seminary and Nina soon became a proud Mother. They lived in Ft. Worth until 1976 when they moved back to Fox to assist in their family business “Dunn Accounting” of Fox. They took over full operations in 1998 and operated successfully until its closing in 2010. During their operations they were members of the National Associations of Tax Practitioners. Dan preceded Nina in death on December 5, 2007. Nina and Dan had enjoyed many ventures and missionary trips together throughout the years. She loved her kids and grandkids very much and enjoyed attending the Fox Baptist Church where she had served as the Organist for over 50 years.
In addition to her husband, also preceding her in death is her Parents; Son Anthony Wayne Dunn September 17, 1971; 5 Infant siblings; Sister, Betty Sue in 1961 and a sister in law Mary Thompson.
Survivors include her Two Daughters, Danni Leigh Dunn-Legg and husband Ross of Moore and Amber Dawn Dunn of Denton, TX; Brother, Elder L. Thompson, Jr. of Fox; 3 Grandchildren, Alexander, Christopher and Haleigh; Sister in law, Debora Dunn-Mears and husband John of Talco, TX; Many other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Chris Whitsett, Larry Gosnell, Carroll Gosnell, Jacob Fore, Joey Fore and Bret Cranford
Honorary Bearers are the Fox High School Class of 1967, Bob Gosnell, Don Henderson, Kenneth Gordon, Bob McCartney, Kenneth Griffin, Bob Cranford and Elder Thompson.
Family visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
