Graham- Funeral Services for Nickie Deann Lee Watkins, 25, of Fox are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Graham Assembly of God Church with Rev. J.R. Townley and Rev. Hershell Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
Nickie was born April 6, 1984 in Healdton to Johnny Mitchell Watkins and Peggy Lee (Priest) Watkins. She departed this life Friday, February 12, 2010 at Ratliff City.
Nickie was raised in Graham attending school at Healdton graduating from there in 2002. She attended nursing school and soon became a certified nurse’s assistant. She currently was employed at Duncan Care and prior to that was employed at Wilkins Nursing Home in Duncan. She took pride in her nursing caring deeply for every patient. She always had a big heart and loved her children very much. She enjoyed going and spending time at the lake, was always a big fan of “Betty Boop”, and cherished times with her family the most. She was raised in the Graham Assembly of God Church.
Preceding her in death is her Uncle Jerry Priest, Great Grandmother, Lola Barber, Step Grandfather, Slim Hess and Grandfather J.T. Priest.
Survivors include her Daughter, Ellaunna Watkins and Son, Evan Tyrone Staples both of Healdton, Mother, Peggy Peterson and Jeffrey Gamblin of Duncan, Father Johnny “Mickey” Watkins and stepmother, Donna of Ratliff City. Sisters, Michelle Acox of Fox, Mary Louise Bennett of Pruitt City, Amber Watkins and Lacey Watkins both of Ratliff City, and Sabrina Sloan of Duncan. Brothers, Johnny Watkins, Jr. of Ratliff City and Paul Peterson of Duncan. Grandparents, Dorothy Christian of Ratliff City, Betty Hess of Burneyville, Corine and Edward Davis of Healdton. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Johnny Watkins, Jr., Josh King, Curtis O’Daniel, Todd Turpin, Kenny Vansill, Thomas Wilson, Dustin Holbrook, David Watkins and Jeff Acox.
Family visitation will be from 6-7 pm Monday evening at the funeral home at Ratliff City.
