Nelda Jean Barnes

RINGLING – Graveside services for Nelda Jean Barnes, 46, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Nelda was born November 20, 1964, at Madill, Okla., to the late Mr. Kenneth Barnes and Mary Sue (Mays) Barnes. She departed this life Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Healdton.

Nelda was raised in Ringling graduating high school there in 1982. She attended cosmetology school at American Beauty College in Ardmore. She began her career as a hair stylist at Hair by Expressions in Ringling. She was currently the manager at Pro Cuts in Ardmore. She had a strong love for her nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time at the softball field and was an avid Blue Devil football fan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ringling.

Preceding her in death her Father Kenneth Barnes; Maternal and Paternal Grandparents; and her niece Tiffani Fleehart.

Survivors include her Mother, Sue Barnes of Ringling; Brothers, Ernie Marshall and wife Janice of Ringling, Karlan Barnes and wife Shay of Ringling, Wilbie Barnes and Leasa Stappleton of Ringling, and Billy Bob Barnes and wife Sara also of Ringling. 5 Nephews, 8 nieces, 3 Great Nieces, 1 Great nephews, 7 uncles, 2 aunts, and host of numerous.

Pallbearers Ricky Harrison, Mike Gandy, Lee Doss, Kipp Coley, Chris Brown and Tim Ficklin.

Honorary Bearers are James Perkins, Lonnie Mays, Jr. Ernest Mays, Lleu Brooks and Ronnie Butler.
