Ratliff City - Funeral Services for Mrs. Nancy Faye (Tivis) Hammond, 80, of Ratliff City are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Ratliff City with Rev. Mike Johnston and Rev. Glynn Baker officiating. Interment will follow at the Ratliff City Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
Nancy was born on Feb. 23,1937 at Alma, Ok to the late Mr. Alva Gordon "Trig" Tivis and Mrs. Jessie Faye (Morris) Tivis. She departed this life on Friday evening June 23, 2017 at a healthcare facility in Davis.
Nancy was raised in Tussy attending school at Pernell. She graduated high school at Pernell in 1955. She married Mr. Dean Hammond and to this union they were blessed with two children, Leisa and Rodney. Nancy attended beauty college and there after worked as a beautician for a short while. She was mostly known for owning and operating the Ratliff City Cafe' for 37 years. Nancy always enjoyed helping others and after closing the cafe, she worked as a caregiver for many years. She always enjoyed going out to eat and playing wahoo. She was a member of the Pernell Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death are her Parents; brother, Preston Tivis and a niece, Shytana Bray and companion, Roy "Slim" Clagg.
Survivors include her son Rodney Dean Hammond and wife Carol of Jenks; daughter, Leisa Freeman of Ada; sister, Barbara Tivis of Ratliff City; brothers, Kenneth Tivis, Dale Tivis and wife Linda and Derrel Tivis, all of Ratliff City; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
Casket Bearers are Lee Freeman, Logan Freeman, Randon Hammond, Rayce Hammond, Keelan Hammon and Heath Thompson.
Honorary bearers are Kenneth Tivis, Dale Tivis, Derrel Tivis, Cary Dale Tivis, Steven Bray, Chris Tivis and Kenny Clagg.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Nancy to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, (Oklahoma Chapter), 2448 E. 81st Street Suite 3000 Tulsa, OK.
