Wilson – Funeral Services for Mrs. Myrtle Gwendolyn (Bolles) Worsham, 89, longtime resident of Wilson is scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Ash Street Church of Christ in Wilson with Ronnie Worsham officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar Pt. Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
Myrtle was born December 13, 1921 at Rexroat, OK to the late Mr. Ernest Dudley Bolles and Mrs. Violet Renee (Foster) Bolles. She departed this life Thursday September 1, 2011 at Wilson.
Myrtle was raised at Rexroat graduating from High School there in 1939. She married Mr. Grady Issac Worsham December 16, 1941 at Ardmore. They farmed and ranched for many years residing at Dillard. Myrtle worked on the farm pulling cotton and loved picking up pecans. She was a devoted housewife and homemaker, always having a generous portion of food for anyone who visited. She was a member of the Ash Street Church of Christ of Wilson.
Preceding her in death is her Parents; Husband Grady, August 31, 2009; Sister, Margie Carlock; Brothers, Ernest, Pete, Corky, Bill and Jerry.
Survivors include her Daughter, Janice Worsham Aycox and husband Dale of Hennessey; Son, Harry Gene Worsham and wife Page of Lone Grove; Grandchildren, Deborah Van Meter and husband Rex, Alan Aycox and wife Stephanie, Lacey Vertrees and husband Richard, Brandon Grady Worsham and Daniel Vernon; Great Grandchildren, Aubree Van Meter, Ashlee Van Meter, Ava Vertrees, Blake Van Meter and Emily Aycox; Sister, Armentha Waldron of Seymour, TX; Brothers, Gene Bolles and wife Georgia of Ardmore, Don Bolles of Davis, and Terrell Bolles and wife Fern of Ardmore. Numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers are Alan Aycox, Brandon Worsham, Daniel Vernon, Rex Van Meter, Richard Vertrees, and Roger Bolles.
Honorary Bearers are Tom Worsham, Dickie Welch, Roy Hunziker, Dennis Tolbert, Boyd Salsbury, Landon Lowrance, Charlie Steele, Jug Garrett, David Hull, Mike Sudderth, Phil Stearns, and the men of the Ash Street Church of Christ.
Family visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-7pm Monday evening.
Memorial may be made to the Ash Street Church of Christ or Cross Timbers Hospice in care of Alexander Funeral Home/ 1302 7th St. Wilson, OK 73463.
