Ringling- Graveside Services for Mrs. Myrtle Bernice Mauldin, 99, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Ringling Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Mike Williams officiating . Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Myrtle Bernice Mauldin was born February 17, 1915 at Orr, Oklahoma to Mr. John Alvin Stafford and Mrs. Ethel Venia (Rogers) Stafford. She passed from this life Friday, March 7, 2014 at Wilson, Oklahoma.

Bernice was raised at Orr, Oklahoma attending school and graduating there. She married Mr. Hershel Mauldin on May 14, 1951 at Ardmore, OK. They made their home in Ringling, OK.

and were blessed with one son, Bill Mauldin, SR.. Bernice was a devoted homemaker but worked outside her home some as a waitress at the local café. Hershel and Bernice also had several rental properties in Ringling. She loved quilting, embroidering, canning and cleaning. Bernice was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ringling for 40 years.

In addition to her husband, Hershel Mauldin who preceded her on August 5, 1992 she is also preceded in death by her Parents, John and Ethel; Sisters, Billie Jo and Christine; Brother, Glenn.

Survivors include her Son, Bill Mauldin SR. of Ardmore, OK; Sister, Anne Carlisle of North Carolina; Grandchildren, Bill Mauldin, JR. and wife Kim of Wilson, OK., Marsha Turner and husband Curtis of Wilson, OK.; Great Grandchildren Lauren and Benjamin Turner; Niece, June Amelaug of Independence, MO.; Numerous Friends.

Honorary Bearers are Curtis Turner and Bill Mauldin, JR.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
