Mindora Mae Christian

Ratliff City – Funeral Services for Mrs. Mindora Mae Christian, 83 are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Living Word Tabernacle with Bro. Eugene Christian officiating. Interment will follow to Graham Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.

Mindora was born August 2, 1934 in Gracemont, OK to the late Mr. Andrew Clyde “A.C.” Kirkland and Mrs. Virgie (Bridges) Kirkland. She passed from this life on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Oklahoma City.

Mindora was raised at Gracemont where she attended school. She married Bill Christian on August 15, 1959 at Ardmore. They resided mostly in the Fox area. Mindora worked outside the home mainly as a cook and as a caregiver. She worked some at the Grasshopper Junction and surrounding café’s. Mindora liked to garden, enjoyed family gatherings and enjoyed cooking. She was a member of the Graham Assembly of God Church.

Preceding her in death are her parents; siblings, Jerry Clyde, Virgil, James Hobert, Dorothy Wells, Aliene Vanderburg; children, Nora Arles, Rhonda Norris, Diana Ashley, Billy Wayne Christian; grandson, Lloyd McDowell and a granddaughter, Annie Arles.

Mindora is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Edgar Christian of Ardmore; brothers, Lloyd Kirkland and wife Minnie Mae of Stonewall and Floyd Kirkland of Spring Creek, OK; children, Johnny Dhabalt and wife Linda of Burneyville; Paula McDowell and husband Frankie of Loco and James Marvin Christian of Graham; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be John Curtis Dhabalt, Chris McDowell, Tyler Emerick, Jerry Emerick, Nathan O’Dell and Cody Hammons. Honorary bearers will be Garrett Emerick and all of her great granddaughters.

A family visitation is scheduled for Sunday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling and a family visitation for Monday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
