Ringling - Funeral Services for Milissa "Missy" LeAnn VanBuskirk Glazier, 42, of Duncan are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Ringling First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Williams and Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Lone Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
Missy was born August 8, 1974 at Ardmore to the Mr. Lyndal Edward VanBuskirk and Mrs. Janet LeAnn (Gray) VanBuskirk. She was called home on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Duncan.
Missy was raised in Wilson and Ringling, graduating from Ringling High School in 1992 and named the "Best Dressed". She attended beauty school and worked as a beautician for many years following. She married Artie Glazier and they were blessed with a daughter, Vanissa. Later she married Kevin Sumbera and they were blessed with a son Holden. She loved her children with her whole heart.
Most recently, Missy had been working as a retail manager and trainer for Family Dollar and Dollar General Stores in the Duncan area. She always gave to needy first helping others was her strength. She had a huge heart and a love for others. Missy cared deeply for her Nanny, always concerned about her well being and often took care of her. She was a hardworker who loved to joke around and shop at all times. Missy was a Christian who accepted Jesus Christ at a early age and enjoyed attending church with her son Holden at the Lawton First Assembly of God Church.
Preceding her in death is her Grandparents; Ray and Mildred Green and Bill VanBuskirk; aunt and uncle, Helen and Randy Baker and Infant Aunt, Goldie Lou Gray.
Survivors include her daughter, Vanissa LeAnn Glazier of Ada; son, Holden Sumbera of the home; parents, Janet Gray-Magby and husband John of Wilson and Lyndal VanBuskirk and wife Janet of Ringling; Sisters, Stormie Brooks of Wilson and Laticia Dulaney and husband Bob of Davis; brothers, Frank VanBuskirk and wife Susan of Ringling and Colby VanBuskirk and Robin Mann of Ringling; Grandparents, O.L. and Maxine Gray of Wilson and Beatrice VanBuskirk of Ardmore; Parents in law; Dolores and Jerry Sumbera of Arlington, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
Casket Bearers will be Holden Sumbera, Artie Glazier, Frank VanBuskirk, Colby VanBuskirk, Bob Dulaney, Colin Dulaney and Sam VanBuskirk.
Honorary Bearers will be the Ringling High School Class of 1992, Harold Gray, Anita Hunter, Ronnie Gray, Zane Gray, Bill Baker, Brady Baker, Brad Baker, Sarah Lembke, Cheryl Hedge, Stormie Brooks, Kevin Sumbera, all of the Nieces and Nephews.
Family visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday evening at Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.
