Healdton- Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Mike Taylor, 61, of Healdton are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, February 29, 2016 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Danny Huntsman and Rev. Sharen Hale officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Olive Cemetery of Healdton

Mr. James Michael "Mike" Taylor was born May 12, 1954 at Ada to Mr. James Monroe Taylor and Mrs. Billie Fae (Walker) Taylor. He departed this life Wed. Feb. 24, 2016 at Houston, TX.

Mike was initially raised at Ada attending school at Byng until moving to Healdton his sophomore year of High School. He graduated from Healdton High School in 1972. Mike soon went to work for Armstrong Tools for a short while before becoming employed for Uniroyal in 1973. He and the former Shelly Pangburn were united in marriage and to this union they were blessed with a daughter, Monica.

Mike resided in Healdton all of his adult life owning and operating Taylor s Office Supply of Healdton while also working at Uniroyal/ Michelin. He retired from Michelin in 2008, lastly working as part of the receiving department. Mike made a life commitment to his lifelong partner, Ms. Barbara Meador on July 28, 2002. They spent many wonderful moments together traveling and being with their grandchildren and family. They most recently enjoyed a trip together to Ireland. Mike also enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Mr. James Monroe Taylor on April 9, 2003.

Survivors include his loving partner, Barbara of the home; daughter, Monica Taylor; mother, Mrs. Billie Fae Taylor and sister, Myra Singleton and husband Jeff, nephews Nathan and Colton Singleton all of Healdton; his extended children whom he considered a blessing, Amy and Ricky Torrez of Fort. Leonard Wood, MO and Andy and Michelle Hill of Davis; their together, adored grandchildren, James, Raegn, Reece, Chris, Katelynne, Jordi Bug, Jaci and Boo; numerous other family and a multitude of friends.

Casket bearers are Mark Wood, Donnie Adams, Clyde Smoot, Nathan Singleton, Colton Singleton and Andy Hill.

Honorary Bearers are James Wingo, Raegn Wingo, Reece Weaver and Rusty Turmbull.

Family visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Sunday afternoon at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
