Ringling – Funeral Services for Micheal Dale Skinner, 60, of Ringling are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Ringling with Pastor Jimmy Morris and Bro. Vol Woods officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
Mike was born January 2, 1952 at Waurika to Mr. Charlie Dale Skinner and Mrs. Lavada (Hicks) Skinner. He departed this life May 1, 2012 at Oklahoma City.
Mike was raised in Oscar attending school at Ryan. He and the former Ms. Donna Patrick were married May 17, 1971 at Ringling. They made their home in Ringling raising their family. Mike owned and operated the Deep Rock service station for 13 years in Ringling. He was also the Chief of the Healdton Fire Department for several years as well as volunteering for the Ringling Fire Department. When he wasn’t working Mike enjoyed fishing and hunting and being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his Mother – Lavada; Brother in law, Harley Stewart; Sister in law, Liz Wilson, and Nephew Joe Dale Stewart.
Survivors include his wife Donna of the home ; Children, Doni Tolliver and husband Jon, Scott Skinner and wife Summer, all of Ringling and Son, Kyle Skinner and wife Janea of Oklahoma City; Grandchildren, Hunter Tolliver, Logan Miller, Case Tolliver , Easton Tolliver, Emma Skinner, all of Ringling, and Jack Skinner of Oklahoma City; Father, Charlie Skinner of Ringling; Sisters, Karen Ryan of Burkburnett, TX, and Debbie Williams and husband Doug of Healdton; Mother and father in law, Don and Drue Patrick of Ringling; Sister in law, Patricia Stewart of Ringling and Brother in law, Cokey Wilson, also of Ringling. Numerous other nieces and nephews and other family.
Pallbearers are Clint Blakemore, Charlie Burks, Lafon Glenn, Jearl Greenroyd, Billy Inselman, Dewayne McCarty, Dale Riley and Allen Wade.
Honorary Bearers are Wesley Christopher, Joe Kirkpatrick, Ken Matthews, Bill Pierce, Bob Earl Stewart, all the nephews, and the other Church Brothers of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Family visitation will be from 5-7 pm Wed. evening at the funeral home in Ringling.
