Michael Lynn Wood

Wilson - Memorial Services for Michael “Mike” Lynn Wood, 49, of Ardmore, will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating.  Cremation services are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory.

Mike was born on March 24, 1975, in Ardmore to Marvin Lynn Wood and Margaret Jean "Jeannie" (Muncrief) Brewer. He passed away on August 12, 2024, in Ardmore, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.

Raised primarily in the Ardmore area, Mike attended school at Dickson. He began his career at Bluebonnet Feed Mill and later served as a jailer at the Carter County Sheriff’s Department for several years. His professional journey included employment with East Jordan Iron Works and, most recently, the Wal Mart Distribution Center in Pauls Valley. Since 2014, Mike dedicated himself to raising American Bullies, sharing his passion for the breed with individuals across the United States, including the popular singer Jelly Roll as a purchaser.  He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, often spending time at Lake Murray, and enjoyed cheering on his favorite fighters in UFC matches.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Jeannie Brewer, and his grandparents, Robert and Margaret (Stidham) Muncrief.

He is survived by his children, Brittany Wood, Lexie Wood, Natallii Wood, and Garreth Wood; his father, Marvin Lynn Wood; as well as numerous family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
