Michael Stephen Edwards

Graveside inurnment services for Mr. Michael “Mike” Stephen Edwards, 64 of Argyle, TX are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 19, 2018 at Tussy Cemetery with Pastor Stephen Hunter officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Mike was born October 22, 1953 in Pauls Valley, OK to the late Mr. Thomasson Johnson Edwards and Mrs. Billie Jo (Covington) Edwards. He passed from this life on December 23, 2017 in Grapevine, TX.

Mike was raised in Tussy, graduating from Velma Alma High School in 1972. He married Denise Shelton in Ft. Worth, TX at the stockyards on April 18, 1992. To this union, they were blessed with a son, Shelby. Mike owned and operated 3 E’s Over Texas Transportation. He enjoyed coastal traveling with Denise, loved horses and fishing. He especially loved his blue heeler dog, Sadie.

Preceding him in death are his parents, T.J. and Billie Jo.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Denise of the home; children, Shelby Houston Edwards of Argyle, TX Amy (Edwards) Dunn and Chad (Edwards) Firestone; siblings, Terry Edwards of Muenster, Connie Barrett of Oakland, Debbie Edwards of Madill, Tim Edwards of Duncan and Mark Edwards of Alaska and host of other family and friends.
