Michael "Shawn" Dutton

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Michael Shawn Dutton, 48, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:30 PM Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Wilson with Rev. Terry Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmore City Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Shawn was born on Oct. 19, 1969 at Pauls Valley to the late Mr. Charles Robert Dutton and Mrs. Wilda L. (NeSmith) Dutton. He departed this life on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 at his home in Wilson.

Shawn was raised in Wilson where he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball at Wilson Schools. Shawn loved the position of Pitcher and also played first basemen. He graduated from high school in 1987 and soon went to work for Ramsey Ward Electric Company. Later in life he gained employment at Uniroyal and worked there as a tire builder with Michelin for 28 years.

Collecting case knives and guns was a hobby of Shawn's and he loved spending time with his miniature Aussie whom he named Blue. Most recently Shawn had devoted his life to Christ and was excited in sharing this new life with everyone he came in contact with.

Those preceding him in death are his parents, Charlie and Wilda Dutton.

Survivors include his sister, Becky Shores and husband Mike of Springer; brother, Rodney Dutton of Wilson; nieces and nephew, Morgan Pruitt and husband Barkley of Springer, Dr. Coty Shores and wife Chelsea of Duncan and Charlie Petty and husband Connor of Oklahoma City; great nieces and nephew, Cason Shores, Reagan Pruitt and Cambry Shores; grandparents, Al and Francis Owens of Oklahoma City; canine buddy, Blue of the home and numerous other adopted family of Oklahoma City and other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Dr. Coty Shores, Michael Miller, Albert Angel, Tim Claxton, David Green and Jody Rich.

Honorary Bearers are Mike Shores, David Hull, Barkley Pruitt, Gary Owens, Chris Auten, Kyle Hacker, Shawn Walker and Rounder Henry.

Family visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
