Lone Grove – Funeral services for Mr. Michael Shane Lyons Jr., 35, of Lone Grove will be at 10 AM, Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Jim Yeager officiating. Interment will follow at Newport Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Michael Shane Lyons Jr. was born September 5, 1974 in Modesto, CA to Michael Shane Lyons Sr. and Debra Renee (Pittman) Lyons and the late Bill Dodd and Paula Janette (Lyons) Dodd. He passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Lone Grove.

Michael was born and raised in Modesto and Hughson CA attending school at Hughson. He was employed for J.D.M. Construction as a carpenter for many years. He and the former Ms. Carie Fear were married September 10, 1993 in Modesto, CA. He and his family moved to Lone Grove in 2007 and Michael went to work for The Ink Spot Tattoos as a tattoo artist. He was an avid fisherman and was well known for his art work.

Preceding him in death is his father Bill Dodd and a brother Jimmie Dodd.

Survivors include his wife Carie Lyons of the home in Lone Grove, 2 daughters Riki and Myki Lyons of the home in Lone Grove, parents, Michael Sr. and Renee Lyons of Ceres, CA and Paula Dodd of Modesto, CA, sister, Chrysta Dodd of Hughson, CA, a4 brothers, David Dodd and wife Lisa of Marietta, Timothy Dodd of Ardmore, J.J. Hammonds of Ceres, CA and Zachary Lyons of Hughson, CA, grandfather, Jay Pittman of Ceres, CA and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Walker, Calvin Xavier, Joe Dodd, Tim Dodd, David Dodd, Cliff Thompson and Robert Ortiz.

Honorary Bearers will be Manuel Alcazar, J.J. Hammonds and Zachary Lyons.
