Michael Leon Gillum

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Michael "Mike" Leon Gillum, 72 of Lone Grove, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Billy Holder officiating. Interment will follow to Cheek Cemetery.

Mike was born October 23, 1948 in Duncan, OK to the late Mr. Leon Gillum and Mrs. Helen Jaquelyn (West) Gillum. He departed from this life on Thursday, July 1, 2021 in Lone Grove at his home.

Mike was raised in Healdton attending school in Healdton, Oklahoma City, Dundee and graduating from Zaneis in 1967. He attended Murray State College for 2 years when he was drafted in the United States Army. Mike served honorably for 2 years. After the military, he drove a truck in the oilfield. For several years, he had also worked for Uniroyal, for Brady's Oil Well Service and he had worked for the Ardmore Post Office as a letter carrier for 21 years where he retired. Mike married Mrs. Debra White and they were blessed with 3 children and later Mike married the former Mrs. LaDonna Faye Zeitvogel in Zaneis on June 6, 1990. He enjoyed his time playing in a band "the Drifters" with Jerry Studdard and with Lynn McCarty when they played at the Senior Citizens Center in Ringling and many other places. He also enjoyed watching western movies, golf, OU football, playing with his dog Minnie and Boomer and he loved getting to play with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Mike is survived by his wife LaDonna of the home; children, Darla Dianne Gillum of Falconhead, Michael Lynn Gillum of Lone Grove, Tera Denise Gillum of Healdton, and Kristy Marie Sturdivant and Evan Davis of Lone Grove; brother, Terry Lynn Gillum of Wilson; 9 grandchildren, Magen Clark, Jessica Altstatt, Gage Altstatt, Jada Long, Peyton Gillum, Destiny Bennett, Rodney Musgrove, Shelby Musgrove, Dylan Sturdivant, and Maci Hager; 11 great grandchildren; and by a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Gage Altstatt, Rodney Musgrove, Peyton Gillum, Dylan Sturdivant, Darren Barbour, and Keith Raney.

Visitation will be set for Monday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home.
