Melva Sue Love (Bridgman)

August 23, 1949 - November 4, 2022

Melva passed on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the age of 73 years, 2 months, and 11 days. It was her wish to be cremated and the family will have a memorial service at a later date. Cremation services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

She was born to the late Louis and Erma (Young) Bridgman on August 23, 1949 in Merced, California. She attended school at Graham, Oklahoma.

Melva and Darryl were married on March 2, 1984. Both loved the lake and made their decision to live by Lake Texoma in Enos, Ok. Melva loved to cook. That love of cooking led her to work in the food industry for most of her working career. She knew the way to ones heart was through their stomach. Melva was better known as Meme to not only her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren but to anyone that knew her. She loved to brag on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and always wanted pictures of them to show everyone. She was proud of them all and always wanted to know what they were doing and who they were hanging out with. She never met a stranger and never hesitated to help anyone in need. She would definitely talk a strangers leg off if they would let her.

She is survived by her beloved husband Darryl Love and their two fur babies, Itty Bit and Gypsy; daughter, Carla and husband Dan Johnson of Norman, OK; son, Mark Jr and wife Carol Teel of Marlow, OK; daughter Christa and husband Rene Chapa of Madill, OK; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren that were her pride and joy.
