Melody Kay Jones

Ratliff City – Funeral Services for Melody Kay Jones, 16 month old daughter of Andrew and Melissa Jones, are scheduled for 10am Friday October 15, 2010 at the Living Word Tabernacle in Ratliff City with Bro. Robert Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Melody was born June 11, 2009 at Ardmore to Andrew Clinton and Melissa Kay (Christian) Jones. She went to Heaven Monday evening October 11, 2010 at Ardmore.

Melody had just recently begun walking. She loved to discover new things such as ink pens and especially feeling her daddy’s beard. She loved to sing and clap her hands at church. Melody had the cutest little “hippopotamus smile” with her dimples and her new teeth. She was so adored and loved by everyone that she came in contact with.

Survivors include her Dad and Mom, Andrew and Melissa Jones of Healdton, brother, Caleb Jones of Ardmore, sister, Angelmayre Jones of the home. Grandparents, David and Shirley Coble of Randleman, N.C., Rickey Jones of Healdton, and Eugene and Tammy Christian of Ratliff City. Great Grandparents, Marlene Wilkins of Kingston, Geraldine Garlett of North Dakota, and Joyce Botts of Tussy. Her dearest babysitter, Christy Rushing of Ardmore. Numerous other family, church family and friends.

Pallbearers are Charlie Davis, Jared Trotts, Bobby Williams, and Josh Rushing.

Honorary Bearers are Jeremiah Christian, Danny Coates, Jr., Danny Coates, III and Josh Knox.

Family visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
