Wilson – Memorial Services for Mr. Max Nelson Burris, Jr., 53 of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson.

Mr. Max Nelson Burris, Jr. was born May 2, 1959 at Ardmore, OK to Mr. Max Nelson Burris, Sr,. and Mrs. Barbara Marie (Jones) Burris. He departed this life Wed. March 20, 2013 at his home in Wilson.

Max was raised in Wilson graduating from Wilson High School in 1977. He worked in the Oilfield as a roughneck during his working years and was a resident of Wilson all of his life. He enjoyed spending time at the lake with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing pool and chess and reading books.

Preceding him in death is his Father, Max Burris, Sr. – 2007 and a daughter, Jessica Burris – January 29, 2012.

Survivors include his Mother, Barbara Burris of Wilson; Daughter, Patricia Sutherland and husband Garret of Sherman, TX; Sisters, Debbie Smoot of Ardmore and Sandy Cox of Wilson; Grandchildren, Haley and Xander; Nieces and Nephews, Danielle Shirley, Brooke Cox, Steven Shirley and Jared Phelps. Numerous other family and friends.

Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
