Funeral services for Mr. Matthew Hayden Bark, 24, U.S. Army Veteran of Elkhart, IN. are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday April 26, 2013 at Milo Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Milo Cemeter . Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Matthew Hayden Bark was born July 8, 1988 at Tahlequa, OK. to Mr. Gary Lee Bark and Mrs. Anita Ruth (Knight) Bark . Matthew passed from this life April 20, 2013 at Elkhart, IN.


Matthew was raised in the Milo area. He joined the U.S. Army on November 9, 2006 at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Matthew served honorably for 5 years and 1 month as part of the 82 Airborne as a Calvary Scout. He completed two tours in Iraq receiving several accommodations and medals. He Received his discharge July 1, 2011 and moved back to this area . Matthew served as a Police Officer for the Wilson Police Department for a short time before moving to Elkhart, IN. While there Matthew was employed as a furnace operator at Special Metals.

He was preceded in death by his brother Gary Bark Jr. in 1993.

Survivors include his Parents, Gary and Anita Bark of Milo; Fiance`, Nary Try and daughter Lilly Lee of Milo; Brother, Nick Bark and wife Alicia of Ardmore; Sister, Tia Boeken of Muskogee; Nieces and Nephews, Lauryn, Georgia, Maxwell, Vivian and Hunter Allen; Numerous other Family and Friends.

Pallbearers are Nick Bark, JR Morris, Joe Jennings, Joe Oatman, Michael Sanchez and Kenny Shores.

Honorary Bearers are the Wilson Police Department.

Family visitation will be from 6- 8 PM Thursday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
