Mary Sue Barnes

Ringling – Graveside Services for Mrs. Mary Sue (Mays) Barnes, 70, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday January 11, 2012 at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Mary Sue was born February 15, 1941 at Courtney, OK to the late Mr. Joseph Earnest Mays and Mrs. Hattie Bell (Arledge) Mays. She departed this life Sunday January 8, 2012 at her home in Ringling.

Mary was raised as one of 15 children at Courtney Flatts attending school there. She lived the majority of her life in the Ringling area. She and the late Mr. Kenneth Dale Barnes were united in marriage on June 21, 1964 at Gainesville, TX. They made their home in Ringling in 1969 and had been residents of here since. Mary mainly was employed as a homemaker who loved to sew and attend flea markets. Her husband Kenneth preceded her in death on August 16th of 1996.

Also preceding her in death is her Parents, Daughter, Nelda Jean Barnes on August 28, 2011, Granddaughter, Tiffani Fleehart; Sister Jeanie Mays; Brothers, Kenneth, Odis, Doug, Donnie and Roger.

Survivors include Four Sons, Ernie Marshall and wife Janice, Karlan Barnes and wife Shay, Wilbie Barnes and wife Leasa, and Billy Bob Barnes and wife Sara, all of Ringling; Sister, Ann Rich and husband Jack of Ringling; Brothers, Arthur Mays and wife Norma of New Mexico, Dean Mays of Ardmore, Darrell Mays and wife Reeta of Dickson, Lonnie Mays and wife Wanda of Ardmore, Tommy Mays and wife Melinda of Mannsville, and Gary Mays and wife Rhonda of Ardmore. Nine Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Nephews, Earnie Mays, Lonnie Mays, Jr., Lee Mays, Joe Mays, Josh Mays and Curtis Mays.

Honorary Bearers are remaining nephews, Ray Mays, Mitch Mays, Richard Mays and Johnny Mays.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ringling.
