Mrs. Mary K. (Albin) Claxton, of Zaneis, departed this life on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Mercy Memorial Hospital of Healdton at the age of 84 years, 7 months, and 28 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Bro. Paul Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling, OK. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
Mary K. (Albin) Claxton was born on May 2, 1937 in Ringling to the late Mr. Carl D. Albin and Mrs. Louvenia E. (Cantwell) Albin.
Mary was raised South of Ringling and attended school at Ringling graduating with the High School Class of 1956. After graduation she married Mr. Bill Claxton on Dec 1, 1957. Together they would make their home in Zaneis where they would raise their 4 children. Mary was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a talented seamstress and collected material of all kinds. Mary enjoyed working outdoors in her yard and gardens, picking pecans, decorating cakes, and at one time enjoyed drawing. In her younger years she was a exceptional 4-H and Cub Scout leader. Mary had also worked at Hobby Lobby and Hancock fabrics. She was a member of the RIngling Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Claxton in 2004; brother, Noah Albin; and two infant twin sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Terry Claxton and wife Cindy of Zaneis, Tim Claxton and wife Debbie of Galey, Danny Claxton of Healdton; daughter, Pam (Claxton) Hammons of Zaneis; sister, Virginia Jackson and husband Gene of Courtney; sister in law, Joann Albin of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Charley Claxton, Sam Claxton, Kyle Claxton, Zach Hammons, Jeb Hammons, Trevor Schaaf, Logan Schaaf, and Millie Claxton; adopted son, Frank Schaaf; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Serving as casket bearers will be Charley Claxton, Sam Claxton, Kyle Claxton, Zach Hammons, Jeb Hammons, Trevor Schaaf and Logan Schaaf.
Honorary bearer will be Millie Claxton.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 P.M. Monday January 3, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
