Tatums - Funeral services for Ms. Mary Francis Boyd, 79, are scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Tatums with Rev. Reginald J. Thrash, Sr. and Rev. Richard Leakesy officiating. Interment will follow at Oil Springs Cemetery in Tatums. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City.

Mary Francis Boyd was born August 14, 1929 in Poolville to the late Claude Boyd and Bettie (Caldwell) Boyd. She passed away, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Healdton.

She was born and raised in the Tatums area, attending school there. Mary found great enjoyment helping all the people in the Tatums community. Mary was known for not ever turning down a stranger. She loved working in her garden and tending to people in need.

Preceding her in death were her parents, 3 sisters Victoria Duncan, Jomarie Hooks and Erma Jean Mitchell, 2 brothers Claude Boyd and Lloyd Boyd, daughter Vanessa Williams, son, Harvey Joe Thrash.

Survivors include, sons, Kenneth Spigner and wife Debbie of Tatums, Harold Spigner of Ratliff City, Billy Ray Williams and wife Latosha of Tatums, Michael Williams, Sr. and wife Jennifer of Duncan and Timmy Boyd and wife Tevett of Tussy. Daughters, Tammy Boyd and husband Clay James of Ratliff City and Cassandra Boyd and husband Arnold Laskey of Tatums. Brothers, J.P. Boyd and wife Martel of Tatums and Clyde Boyd and wife Roxie of Holdenville. Sisters Archie Winslett, Addie Davidson, Lovie Carter and Ramona Lewis all of Tatums, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Ramon Miles, William White, Warren Hurley, Jr., Warren Hurley, Sr., Pinky Hurley, Carlon Pennon and Arnold Laskey.

Flower girls will be granddaughters.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Friday, March 27, 2009 at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
