Mary Faye Curran

Wilson- A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Mary Faye (Rogers) Curran, 82, formerly of Healdton are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Carolyn Higdon officiating. Interment will follow at the Bomar Point Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Mary was born September 11, 1931 at Dillard to the late Mr. Aubrey R. Rogers and Mrs. Martha Alois “Lois” (Davis) Rogers. She passed from this life Friday, February 14, 2014 at Waurika.

Mary was raised in the Wilson/Healdton area attending school at Zaneis. After graduating at Zaneis, she began working at the Drugstore for Mr. Wade of Healdton. Mary soon met Ira David “Dave” Curran and married him on March 14, 1951 at Wilson. They resided in the Healdton area all their married years. She worked at the Healdton School as a janitor and bus driver and later at OG&E as a janitor where she retired. Dave preceded her in death on March 15, 1993. Mary always enjoyed working outside and helping others. She was a member of the Shell Street Church of Christ of Healdton.

In addition to her husband Dave , Mary is preceded in death by her Parents and Son, Tom Curran.

She is survived by her two Daughters, Sherry Ann Tadlock and husband, Jimmy of Waurika, and Cindy Sue Simpson and Husband Mark of Ratliff City ; Brother, Gene Rogers and wife, Martha of Littlefield, TX.; Grandchildren, Bobby, Jennifer, Steven, Adam, Anna, Jacklyn, Jessica and Joseph; 13 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren ; Numerous other Family and Friends.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Tadlock, Hoss Tadlock, Adam Ogle, James Higdon, Jadel Higdon and Randall Higdon.
