Wilson – Funeral Services for Mary Ellen (Sparks) Emberling, 78, of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Wilson Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dale Tarp officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Mary was born November 2, 1932 at Sasakwa, OK to the late Mr. Estel Buddy McKinney and Marie Ellen (Sparks) McKinney. She departed this life Tuesday July 5, 2011 at the Healdton Hospital.

Mary lived at Sasakwa until the age of 13, when her family moved to the state of Washington. She worked as a certified nurse’s assistant for many years in and around Oklahoma City. She and Mr. Will Dale “Bill” Emberling were united in marriage on May 10, 1996 at Gainesville, TX. They resided in Tuttle and later moved to Wilson in 2005. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed visiting with her friends and working word puzzles. She was a member of the Wilson Assembly of God Church.

Preceding her in death is her Parents, and 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Bill Emberling of the home; Daughters, Beverly Spencer of Yakima, WA and Cariss Webster of Selah, WA; Sons, Jr. Horton of Benton, WA, Robert Horton of Selah, WA, Delbert Horton of Yakima, WA, and Brian Horton of Tri Cities, WA; Sister, Ruth Ruggles of Salem, WA; Brother, George McKinney and Wayne McKinney, both of Turner, Oregon. Stepdaughters, Brenda Hobbs of Wilson, and Debbie Pate of Ardmore; Stepsons, Richard Dale Emberling of Lone Grove, and B.J. Emberling also of Lone Grove, George Emberling of Healdton and Tommy Emberling of Forney, TX; 15 grandchildren and numerous great children and other family.

Pallbearers will be Greg Holbrook, George Emberling, George McDaniel, Marky McDaniel, Doug McDaniel, and Justin McDaniel.

Family visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
