Mary Elizabeth (Reynolds) Paul

Services for Mary Elizabeth (Reynolds) Paul, 81, of Healdton, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton, with Pastor Dustin Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery, Stephens County.


Mary was born December 23, 1942, at Tulsa, OK to the late Mr. William Truman Reynolds and Mrs. Lelia (Cobb) Reynolds. She departed this life Monday, May 20, 2024, at her home in Healdton.


At an early age, Mary lived at Deer Creek, OK moving to Convict Hill near Fox where she attended school all the way through most of her senior year, graduating from Healdton with the class of 1960. During her senior year of High School, she married the love of her life, Mr. Fred Thomas Paul on August 15, 1959, at the Fox Baptist Church and they were soon blessed with a son, Mack Thomas Paul. Mary went to work as a secretary for Attorney, Earl LaValley and later for B. L. Owens Furniture Store in Ardmore. She was also employed for a short time as a secretary for Robertson Trucking until their closing. Mary then decided to further her education and enrolled at East Central University where she earned a master’s degree in special education. She began her teaching career, teaching at Wilson and Lone Grove Schools for a total of 42 years. Mary and Fred lived on a farm where she enjoyed helping outdoors, keeping up with the painting, planting a big garden, and tending to the cattle. She especially enjoyed the horses and camping at the lake with her dad and brothers. Mary enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She was a loving mother and friend to so many.


Preceding her in death are her parents, William and Lelia; husband, Fred on August 21, 2014; siblings, Billy Jerome, Jerry, Gary, and Larry Reynolds; parents in law, Fay Walter Paul and Mildred Louise (Thomas) Paul; sisters-in-law, Glenda Jane (Jennings) Paul, Sherry Lynn Wade, LuAnn Reynolds, and Carolyn Sue Patty; brothers-in-law, Roger Tuley, James Walter Paul, and Robert Fay "Bob" Paul; nephews, Jim Paul, Cainan Paul, and Brian Paul.


Survivors include her son, Mack Thomas Paul and wife Helen of Pinto Corner; grandson, Zach Thomas Paul and wife Samantha; two great grandchildren, Camren and Destiny; sisters-in-law, Hughline Reynolds, Glenna Reynolds, Linda Paul, Mildred Tuley, and Sherry Shelton; brother-in-law, Mack Henry Paul; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.


Pallbearers will be Dalton Loftie, Doug Hayes, Ronnie Burton, Paul Tuley, Patrick Paul, and Josh Paul.


Honorary bearers are Justin Paul, Lewis Tuley, James Paul, Dan Stewart, Henry Paul, Ronnie Reynolds, Lane Paul, Brian Reynolds, and Joe Taylor.


Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M., Friday evening at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton.
