Mary Elizabeth Adams

Mary Elizabeth Adams, age 83, of Wilson departed this life on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at her home in Wilson surrounded by her loving family. An intimate memorial service will be held for family at the Bomar Point Cemetery at 1PM on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Mary was born to the late Mr. Pat Riley and Mrs. Flossie Mae (Williams) Riley in McAlister, OK. She grew up in McAlister and lived there until 1965. She married Richard James “Dicky” Adams and moved to Wilson to be near his family.

Mrs. Adams was telephone operator for Stromberg Carlson for several years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her life revolved around her family. Everyone always knew she was only a phone call away. In earlier years she enjoyed playing bingo, reading biographies, and traveling. One of the best trips was going to New York in 2016.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard James “Dicky” Adams in 2015; and 4 brothers.

She is survived by her son Richard “Ricky” Adams Jr. of Seminole; daughter, Shelly Brown of Wilson; grandchildren, Haley Brown, Amber Norton-DeGiusti, Leah Carleton and Jeremy Faught; many other relatives and a host of friends.
