Mary Sue Hale, age 74 of Wilson, OK passed away peacefully in her home with her husband by her side on November 23, 2024. Mary was born April 16, 1950, in Durant, OK to Beulah and Roy Castleman. She was the youngest of 5 children and was the only daughter.
Mary was raised and graduated from high school in Durant, Oklahoma. She later moved to Ardmore where she became a Physical Therapy Assistant and worked for Mercy Hospital for over 20 years. This is one of many accomplishments she achieved in her extraordinary life. Mary was a ray of sunshine to everyone who was lucky enough to meet her. Those around her would be sure to get a good laugh in. Not only was she a loving wife but also a phenomenal mother and grandmother, always going above and beyond for her family. Over her life, she made numerous friends and touched many people’s lives. Mary had a laugh and personality that was truly one of a kind. She was a blessing to everyone she met.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Randy of Wilson, OK; her sons Royce Evans and wife Amy of Lone Grove, OK; Brandon Hale and wife Nikki of Mountain Park, OK; Grandchildren; Taylor Williams and Dominic, Riley Evans and Shelby, Bailey Fincher, Nathan Hale and Abbi, Braelen Hale, Forrest Gillespie, and Chris Gillespie; Great Grandchildren; Isabella and Kyrin Williams, Kayson and Karson Evans; Brothers; Vernon and Arlene Castleman; Louis and Janet Castleman; Brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Sheila Hale; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Evans; parents, Roy and Beulah Castleman and brother, Royce Castleman.
In this send-off for Mary, we honor her as a shining light in our lives and celebrate her legacy. Let us embrace the faith she carried so deeply and recognize her close relationship with Christ. May her example inspire us to always put God first and face life's challenges with unwavering faith.
Memorial gathering for Mary will be Thursday, December 5, 2024, 12:00 P.M., at the Ash Street Church of Christ in Wilson, OK.
